Nanofibers in Filtration, August 10th

WFI provided yet another fantastic course on Membranes in Filtration. It occurred yesterday July 27, 2021, with Mr. Scott Yeager as our instructor. Mr. Yeager has several decades of experience with Membranes and used his knowledge to provide an exceptional course. The class was very well received and featured four panelists to aid in our active question and answer periods during and after the course plus discussions about the future direction of membrane used in liquids and air. We would like to thank; Dr. Wilson Poon, Professor Richard Lyons and Dr. Christine Sun for their valuable assistance during the course.

Next Course: Nanofibers in Filtration

Nanofibers have been rapidly growing recently in the global filtration market for advanced filter product design in both air and liquid applications, such as engine intake, gas turbine, industrial dust removal, fuel filtration, personal protection, etc. In this course, we will quickly review the principles of why nanofibers can be so effective to enhance the filtration performance and the methods used in the industry to produce various nanofibers, then we will discuss how to structure the nanofibers in your filter media for your nanofiber filter product design. The updated new developments, unmet needs, and trends will also be discussed.

Dr. Christine Sun, President of Waterloo Filtration Institute, is a renowned technical and market expert in the global filtration industry. With over 30 years of experience in academia and the industry, she has an in-depth knowledge of filtration and extensive hands-on expertise in product development with over 100 technical publications and patents. She is also actively involved in many air/liquid filter test standard developments.
