Advances in Filtration and Upcoming WFI 2023
We at the Waterloo Filtration Institute (WFI) are pleased to share an update on our recent and upcoming activities in advanced filtration & separation technologies and their sustainable development.
Today's Course: Nanofibers in Filtration
Firstly, we would like to thank all participants of today's insightful course, "Nanofibers in Filtration." Led by Dr. Christine Sun (WFI) and enriched by the top expertise of our distinguished panelists Dr. Jayesh Doshi (eSpin), Dr. Cédric Vallet (Ahlstrom), Mr. Douglas Guimond (Hollingsworth & Vose), and Dr. Gajanan Bhat (UGA), the course provided an in-depth exploration of nanofiber filtration market and technologies. We reviewed the principles behind nanofibers' effectiveness, their production methods, and how to design nanofiber filters for various innovative applications such as industrial dust removal, engine intake, HVAC, etc. Furthermore, the panelists discussed the nanofiber filtration market's challenges, opportunities, and trends. You can watch the course video via the course page here.
Next Course: Meltblown Technologies
Looking ahead, next week on June 27, 2023, Tuesday, we're excited to present our course on "Meltblown Technologies." It aims to give the audience an in-depth understanding of meltblown technologies (including process design, electret charging, nanofibers, etc.) and their unique positions in the fast-growing air/liquid filtration markets. We will address new developments, opportunities, and trends with the expert panel discussion. Register for the course via the course page here, or register for the CFSS program for discounted access to all this year's advanced topics here.
